Donkeys and more beaches in St. John’s

St. John’s is an adorable little island that is mostly national parks. (Jost Van Dyke was yesterday). St. John’s island has one ‘town’ that has really nice shops and restaurants. The entire island had no power when we first got there. I was able to call home since we were back in US territory.

We walked around and found a trail to a beach. At the trailhead, we were greeted by wild donkeys…maybe 10 of them that were just eating grass and walking along the path with us.

When we made it to the beach, I was amazed at how nice and clean it was. Very secluded too. Apparently, there’s great snorkeling spots right off the island which Jamie and Lexi explored. I was perfectly content with hanging out on the beach. You know…I don’t think I’ll ever get sick of just sitting on a beach. IMG_0735

We made our way back to town and ate a bar where I got ‘glazed and confused.’ A burger that was a hamburger patty and cheese with a glazed doughnut as the bun. Super sweet and delicious.

Now and Zen is a cute hippie/Indian store where we each bought a sarong and I got a beautiful notebook.

We made our way back ‘home’ for our last night in Tortola which includes stir fry, New Girl, and going to bed early.
