Island hopping the British Virgin Islands

Three girls. Six islands. Seven days.

Lexi, Jamie and I are three broke college girls who decided to spend a week island hopping in the British Virgin Islands.

We had our “home” be in Tortola (BVI) because it would be cheaper to travel to other islands from Tortola. We found an Airbnb for reasonably cheap that had a

After a full day of traveling from St. Croix to St. Thomas and then to Tortola, we got settle at our Airbnb and went to Cane Garden Bay Beach to watch the breath-taking sunset.

Virgin Gorda

Day one: Virgin Gorda. The Baths and Devil’s Bay are famous here. The Baths are are a collection of massive, smooth boulders that are along the ocean. We were able to wade and swim through the rocks which were sort-of a maze.  Devil’s Bay was ideal for soaking up the sun.

Anegada was our next stop and will forever fill me with wonder. This island is almost invisible to ships because it’s so flat. I believe there are less than 300 people total living on this island. We rented scooters and explore it for ourselves.

Jost Van Dyke

Our next island was Jost Van Dyke. It’s known for the bar Soggy Dollar with their world famous Painkiller but there isn’t any ‘pain’ here. Our day was relaxing and beach bumming in hammocks.

St. John

St. John was our last stop on our island hopping. We discovered the donkeys that will accompany you for a hike on the trails. We trekked down to a beach to enjoy the island atmosphere and ate a yummy meal.IMG_4704
